UBIETA BLANCO & ASOCIADOS S.C. is a law firm comprised of a team of specialists in different areas of the Law, finances and foreign trade, with more than 40 years of experience.
Founded in 1973, by Doctor Julio Ubieta Blanco, the law firm has distinguished itself representing Venezuelan and foreign clients, with extensive experience in the main professional areas of the legal activity, in some of which has a national outstanding leadership. This business history has placed the law firm among the most important ones in the country, as a result of hard work and the continuous recruiting of valuable lawyers.

Team
Alejandro Ubieta Roque, an expert in corporate, maritime and litigation matters, leads the team. Services
Commercial Law and Corporate Law
In this sense, we represent Venezuelan and foreign companies from the shareholders and/or partners agreements, its incorporation, organization and development of operations, either internal or external, private or institutional financing; its transformations and disputes; until its dissolution and termination.
According to our client’s needs and the specifications of each project, we prepare, file and cover any petition right, collecting claims and compliance of obligation claims, lawsuits and petitions, until its conclusion, through the lawyer’s labor, which form our law firm. We have developed extensive experience in evaluation procedures of current and future risk and contingencies, resulting from the commercial operations, in the legal audits and in the determination of the structure that result more convenient from a commercial and tax perspective. Also, we provide assistance to our clients in insolvency proceedings, including bankruptcy, insolvency and liquidation.
International Commerce
We provide legal services regarding the project financing, international and local leasing, and the granting of real and personal warranties, including the trust-based securities. Our practice also includes what is related to the regulations and local and international financing of personal property; in particular, the financing of vessels and aircrafts of public and private use.
We have recognized specialists in public and private shipping by sea; and, in general, of the maritime industry, being able to provide services to all domestic or international operators and seafarers, as well as to companies of maintenance services and land assistance.
The provision of services in this area covers a broad scope, which includes the advice in matters of international right, such as the application of bilateral and multilateral agreements of maritime services, obtaining the corresponding permits of operation and related authorizations, advice in insurance and, in general, the juridical regulatory regime applicable to the maritime operators.
Legal Recovery and Credits Insurance:
We advise and represent Venezuelan and foreign companies for the legal recovery of credits resulting from the commercial or industrial activity originated by the sales of goods and services, exports and imports; the law firm has specialists that perform all the judicial procedures needed for the recognition, validation and ensuring the rights of their holders regarding the obligations resulting from trade commercial activities. We are experts in credit of export insurance and accounting matters, national and international, through representatives of the law firm in Colombia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Panama, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador and Brazil.
Civil Law
